Butterflys and Spring

Knockoffs! Bet I do not have to tell you what I have been working on?
Would it be reasonable to pay $1.890 dollars for a purse! What a life style!
But, I have always looked with envy as the young things carry their Designer Purses with such pride!
So, I am working on my own ....Keep posted! lol
Well lets see, still working on the grapes for my table sets.
Did stop to enjoy a little Holiday and now I am back into the studio and thinking of things to start and tons of projects that were left ....

This is a Buttery fly Freed Standing Panel, It is a beauty to stitch out and now, it can be a cut work or a purse front or a pillow....And the test turned out to be superior. I have been working with bobbin threads the same colors and threads of the top threads.
I have worked with Rayon from the ABC Embroidery Designs and find that they stitch on a professional machine with ease.

This is stitched on Valium and will be
washed away for a stand alone lace.

I just love the laces.
Have several new laces from ABC ...a rose table set and hit the jack pot on e:bay with their alphabets. Sea foam and
One that is just glorious White work Victorian, I will test that on Tuesday.
Today was the official start of my retirement.
I was approved by Social Security and
now am officially among the Senior citizens of life.
Being Queen is Good! ....
lol
Finished the wire frames for the Threat er DE La mode and some of the faces. I have to do the frames when my hands are ready to bend them. This project is a slow one to complete. But, I am in no hurry..

It is a beautiful day here in Arizona, around 89 degrees, light wind and quiet, just the song birds and bunny and roadrunner here with me. Miss Kat is asleep in the Arizona room...all legs in the air and sleeping on her back! Do all Kat's sleep like humans?

Well, be posting more now that I am off Holiday and ready for a beautiful spring in the desert.
Before I end this, I would like to send a final farewell to one of the most unique women that I had the privilege to know. Ruth Ann Hermbreck passed over on April 18Th 2007 she was 76 years old and a real live wire. She will be truly truly missed by me, as she held a very special spot in my heart. Ruthie Ann, I loved you dearly and still do.

The'atre de la Mode Haute Couture and Color

Lavender Roses Yes, Lavender. I have two of these stunning roses in my garden. They were given to me years ago and when I moved from the larger house to this house, I left them, We rent the smaller house out and recently I relocated these favorites to my garden. I remember the day I got them. It was my birthday way back when and my hubby ordered them. He was TDY at the time they arrived, and away on my birthday but, I planted them and the very first season they graced my garden they were just as lovely!
I am so pleaded that these are in bloom now, In April, Here in Arizona all of the roses every where are in full bloom! Stunning in every ones gardens.
Now, that the garden is over, I would like to keep you up to date in the book department. Several books entered my library this week, 4 reference books on orchids....of not much interest unless your interested in the genies of orchids....and 4 new mini scores from the greatest composers....again pass only if you play the piano...If, you do e:mail me aside and we can talk music...lol...Now, A book on Color by Victoria Fiuney...a must have for the students interest in color....This gal traveled to each country around the world to visit and get the history of color.....I found this book a terrific read....but then I am basically a research nut. Another book that entered my library and I believe of interest to doll artists is called The'atre of de la Mode, it is the fashion doll The survival of Haute Couture...The models are on wire frames....I am getting my wire ready for this experiment....also AIRBRUSH!! I have waited 2 years for a set! On Monday it is to arrive!!! ...more to come on this subject! But, I will be cutting and sewing body forms to airbrush, and I purchased a very fine set, nails, makeup so fingers crossed that it will be fine for faces of dolls.....post when I can.
The next books we couple of Alice in Wounder land in French, Drawing and Painting with Colored pencils....and last but not least...Palmer and Pletsch Couture....The Art of Fine Sewing....well, you can see I am in book person heaven! lol
Now, what else has been happening...not much creativity other then loads of testing for the table sets....I posted the grapes, I purchased the second set of grapes from Zundt...and on Friday (hubby goes back to work) he has been off sick for 4 days..I will enter the studio nice and early ...around 4AM to start seriously on the "Theatre del la grapes"...It is a round lavender table cloth base of damask and napkins.....Oh, I also order Nat;s Mermaid pattern so awaiting a new face....No, not my new face! her new face...no not new face her doll 's new face...Oh well, you understand.. It's late, and I have an important date.....like the White Rabbit.....
As always...Silvery Moonbeams to watch over you....
Will tell you about the newest item to be placed on Bumblebee Lane ... it is a new tea and tea pot Called...Flowering Teas....I will be offering the pots and the pods to create these beautiful floral teas....so when I take the pictures I will post...You just got to get one of these sets....they are truly a work of art and...the tea is great tasting...

Happy Easter 2007

HAPPY EASTER 2007!
How was your dinner? eat lots of peeps? No? me either! Actually I hate peeps! My Mike loves them! lol]
It was very nice here in Arizona, while in the eastern side of this USA...SNOW! hard to believe but most of the eastern cost had rain and many many inches of yes....the white stuff...SNOW!

This was another gift from my Mike to me.....course,, he was the first to make a cup of tea for his self and I did taste a little...He likes his tea so very strong, and I am a medium strength kind of gal.lol
This set I purchased and seem to be collecting the set piece by piece.....I have all but the tea pot! so still looking .......... This is the purple grape Zundt set that I purchased and it is the set called Motifs, or actually Fashion Motifs, now I need to get the drop cloth set.....pictured below for the table cloth, I will be working on a round 108 inch lavender table cloth, and this drop will be around 12 inches.....IT IS FOR ME!!!! lol....The tea cozy will be on a white velvet, lavender lining....keep you posted.....

Zundt Grape Fashion Motif .......it is a free standing lace motif ...

This is the Easter flower from my honey...Mike...

Table drop designs from Zundt. Still need to purchase, as I got the motif set and did not see this set! lol

Zundt designs in my opinion are the top of the line...in laces. They stitch out without one needle break or stoppage...

HAPPY EASTER YOU ALL OF YOU!

Easter Dinner is over, the chocolate rabbits have all been consumed....not one peep to be found! and Sopranos ....well, I got to catch the beginning on Wednesday! lol

It was a glorious day here in Arizona, Mike brought a nasty cold home with him on Friday and so did not truly enjoy his Saturday or Sunday, The little nurse jinglier was made for Michelle, my neighbor who birthday was on Thursday. She was a young age of 42. So, a nice Birthday to Michelle.

Finished the Umbrella for Kerry Seymour of Pin Doll Alley and put it out to the post pick up on Monday.

This umbrella was made from a Zundt design and embellished with hot crystals. The little bunny is holding Kerry's umbrella. It is a small wearable pin made for swaps for the Pin Doll Alley group.

I also, stitched out a motif of grapes, I am working on a table drop and purchased haft the design set again from Zundt, and then noticed that I only had the motifs and not the table drop!

So, I need to finish with the napkins and tea cozy and tray designs then go back and get the table drop designs.

Been a rather busy week here in Sierras Creations and Bumblebee Lane, the garden is tended too and all is caught up on the commission side and all of the groups are fulfilled. Now to tend to the picture trail. I have been not been current in that department. I enjoy the picture trail,

SO, another Easter that was enjoyed by all. Sure wish your Easter was a glorious one....now for

Mums days..

I had a glorious Easter, and sure hope your was also.
Well, this is the end of the night and I am well on my way to slumber land....
As always..
Silvery Moonbeams to watch over you and yours,
